The holiday has been booked, Lanzarote Playa Blanca here we come. A weeks R&R, fly from Leeds Bradford on the Wednesday and return a week later, one day to recoup then off to Brugge with P&O for a pre Christmas booze/chocolate cruise.

Peter Adamson of BBC Radio Humberside soapbox fame has announced his retirement; his final show is next Friday. Peter Adamson whist hailing from Geordie land has been well and truly adopted as one of Hulls own. His absence from the soapbox 11:30 until 13:00hrs will leave a void in many homes not least of all mine. His wit, knowledge and down to earth common sense will be sadly missed.

Waitrose is coming to town, it is in the process of taking over from my, what was, local Safeway store, it opens on Thursday. Had to resort to Lidl’s on Monday , bought bags and bags of stuff and it came to thirteen pounds!!! This will clearly not do.
