Listening to local radio today, BBC, a guy from the RSPCA education campaign, informing us all of the barbaric treatment we all inflict on chickens.

The radio presenter and indeed I was shocked to discover that a medium chicken has only been alive for SIX weeks, during this time the poor thing is fed around the clock, many of them develop problems dieing of heart attacks etc as they grow so fast they just cant cope.

I will from now on boycott cheap chicken and even if it costs double I’ll go for free range or do without.
