Glastonbury footage on Beeb 3 amazing. Franz Ferdinand brilliant, even when the bass player lost his lead half way through ‘Take me out’. A great set the lead guitarist had an amazing dance/strutting style aka haircut 100 and much stamping of the feet. Looked every inch the art house band in farah trousers.
The MC of Groove Armada kept on repeating to the crowd, ‘GlastonBERRY’ this is an over used faux pa and should be avoided at all costs.
‘The Kings of Leon’ seemed overawed by the experience, any band with haircuts like theirs will live long and go far another amazing set.
Lots of clips from the new band tent, ‘The Concretes’ proving to be highly entertaining from Sweden. ‘Badly Drawn Boy’, awful as was ‘Elbow’. Lets hope the rain holds off.
