Why do holidays pass in an instant, had a great 40th, whisked off to Manchester Radisson day before departure, had a lovely meal at Malmaison and then off to Kefalonia for what seems like an instant and now distant memory. I can heartily recommend the 9 Muses in Skala for fantastic holiday accommodation Greek style.

I still canĂ‚’t believe Greece won Eurovision whilst A and I were in residence, danced until four in the morning. Kefalonia my first experience of Greece and what an experience, a truly beautiful island, cypress trees ad infinitum, fruit salad with Greek yoghurt and honey every morning. The food was simple, learnt how to make a proper Greek salad, the mousaka was from a different planet to the slop turned out here. Tasted Slouvaki, Stefado and kefalonian meat pie with toothpick.
