Visited York today with Ma, purchased the new Habitat catalogue and had morning coffee and cake at the The Spuricate Centre, great place to eat in a former church, does great home made food and cakes, coffee refills make it good value. Lakeland plastics for vanilla essence (£10 a bottle, I’m making my own next time) and a jazzy can opener. Really busy in York, the place seems to be overdoing it a bit on Italian pizza restaurants nearly outnumbering Starbucks, god forbid. Bought some Cornish pasties from the Cornish pastie shop no less, wish Hull had an Ye Olde Cornish pastie shop, chicken balti and steak and stilton, hmmm.
