Blowout of a weekend, wedding of niece went like a dream, afternoon reception at Skidby Mill Restaurant very nice, Panchetta and melon for starters, roast sirloin with Yorkshire puds main course, finishing with raspberrys and cream, hmmm, plenty of bucks fizz and drinks and then onto Beverley racecourse for the night bash in the paddock suite overlooking the winners enclosure, nice one.Recovered all day Sunday after one too many the night before, dog still in kennels so no walks, yeah, stayed in and watched the Proms on BBC4, Elgars Violin symphony, Elgar is more than just pomp and circumstance, something to be discovered. Turned over to watch yet more lollypop proms on BBC1 and was blown away be Rachmaninovs Piano in the theme of Paganini, the slushy romantic piece floored me, heart lifting.
